Xander snuck forward silently, his heart was beating a million times a second. Ever since Buffy had run away, he had tried to fill her shoes, not knowing that she had such a large pair.
Here comes Johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-Bop-A-Lula, Baby What I Say
Here comes Johnny singing I Gotta Woman
Down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay
He got the action, he got the motion
Xander could see the vampires walking; five of them, one of him and they were holding a young girl his age, laughing about a midnight snack. Damnit! He could not let them kill her. But five of them…
Yeah, the boy can play
Dedication devotion
Turning all the night time into the day
He do the song about the sweet lovin' woman
He do the song about the knife
He do the walk, he do the walk of life
Here comes Johnny and he'll tell you the story
Hand me down my walkin' shoes
Here come Johnny with the power and the glory
Backbeat the talkin' blues
Xander thought fast, looking for anything that he could use. His eyes dropped on a bottle of whisky, his dad's favorite. A smile; he had a plan. First he took a mouthful, making him smell like a drunk and spit it out, spilling a bit on his shirt. He then mixed something special in the bottle in case they would like a drink. He begun stagger about, holding the bottle. He looked at the surprised Vampires. "Hi guys. Where's the party, man?" Giggling madly, he breathed in the face of one the vampires he hugged. The vampire looked away, slightly sickened by Xander's whisky breath. "Who are you? You are as drunk as a skunk."
He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah, the boy can play
Dedication devotion
Turning all the night time into the day
He do the song about the sweet lovin' woman
He do the song about the knife
He do the walk, he do the walk of life
Here comes Johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-Bop-A-Lula, Baby What I Say
Xander said, "Yea, want a drink? I have some," holding up the bottle. One of the Vampires smiled evilly.
"Sure, make the blood taste finer," he said and drank a large gulp. The vampire suddenly fell over in pain as the mix of Whisky and Holy water started to burn him from the inside out. One of the other vampires bent down to see what happened to his screaming friend.
Here comes Johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-Bop-A-Lula, Baby What I Say
Here comes Johnny singing I Gotta Woman
Down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay
He got the action, he got the motion
Xander exploded into motion. First he staked the vampire he was hugging. Throw his stake forward he jumped the one holding the girl, kicking him hard on his foot and breaking it. As the vampire fell down surprised, he staked the vampire that had bent down. Before the vampire with the broken foot could stand up, he pushed the stake straight trough the heart. As he turned, he could see the last vampire had turn into dust from the holy water inside of him.
Turning all the night time into the day
And after all the violence and double talk
There's just a song in the trouble and the strife
You do the walk, you do the walk of life
Xander then turned around to the girl. "Hi, are you okay?" he said. Seing her cry, he hugged her. "So, can I take you somwhere safe?" He put his jacket on her and they walked away slowly in the night. Xander wished Buffy were back; she was so much better than he was doing this.
Be a Man by Aqua
The girl held her heroes hand hard as they walked out from the cemetery. She was still crying; now tears of relief.
The world is quiet,
like there is no one around,
but I feel you beside me.
I know the secrets,
you keep locked away inside,
don't understand, why you are fighting.
Xander took her to the library. For once it was empty, Giles was out searching after Buffy, Willow was snuggling with Oz and Cordy had broken up with him… again, this time for ever.
The girl looked at him. "Xander, that was your name, right?" He smiled. "That was exactly what I said, beautiful."
I know, she must be special,
this new girl by your side,
I seek for answers, when I look into your eyes,
And he turns, so I can't, but I will be strong.
She smiled. "Why are you doing this?" she asked, looking in to his deep brown eyes. Xander tenderly touched her face, cleaning a small cut. "If I don't do it, who will?"
For once in your life, be a man,
just tell me the words, 'cause I know
that you can, don't leave me with scars,
that no one can heal.
For once in your life - be a man.
The girl shivered. "Can't the police?" Xander replied, "They'll say it's gangs on PCP." She frowned, that's not right. She must talk to mom about this; how new earth could be this dangerous. Maybe Teal'c or Jack could help him.
You made me love you,
love you right from the start.
You're controlling my heart, babe.
Don't pack your bags yet.
Give me time to say goodbye.
(Say goodbye.)
Just don't leave me wounded.
Cassandra slowly took his head between her hands and kissed him tenderly. "I love you," she whispered.
He kissed her back. "You don't know me, it's just an illusion, a dream." She started to take off her shirt but his hand stopped her. "No, don't stop me; let us dream, even if it's just tonight." And he removed his hand they kissed again.
No, I just hope you will regret the things you do
Come back to me,
'cause our love is the real thing.
And he turns, so I can't, but I will be strong.
He lifted her in his strong arms and carried her inside a small room, Giles office, and put her down on the sofa. Tenderly he caressed her body as she started to remove his shirt.
For once in your life, be a man,
just tell me the words, 'cause I know
that you can, don't leave me with scars,
that no one can heal.
For once in your life - be a man.
Xander and Cassandra were deep in passion, the world meant nothing to them as he slowly staked her hard again and again, doing the beast with two backs. Suddenly the door opened and a scream "Xander!" could be heard from Willow.
I knew that I,
I fought to keep our love strong.
If you leave me now,
you come running back for more, babe.
And I hope for, and I wish for,
and I pray, that the words from your mouth can,
eventually make you a man.
With an irritating motion Xander said, "Later Will, much later," and he kicked the door closed again as she kissed him.
For once in your life,
be a man.
When everything stops...
...for a minute in your life,
I'll hope that,
Willow looked totally lost. "Come, leave them for now," Oz said and pulled her away from the sounds in the library. Giles just stood awhile cleaning his glasses. Inside, Ripper celebrated; it was pure Bond action. How proud he was of Xander. He could remember his wild young days when he and Bond where doing highly classified things. Giles turn and left. "Later, Xander, you and I will talk."
For once in your life, be a man,
just tell me the words, 'cause I know
that you can, don't leave me with scars,
that no one can heal.
For once in your life - be a man.
Cassandra hugged him closer, feeling the exposive orgasm fill her. "I love you."
Be a man.
Tell me the words.
Xander hugged her closer and harder, feeling the words but not the strength to say them yet.
Once in your life.
Be a man.
Tell me the words.
"I love you," Xander whispered. "I don't know why and how, but I do say that you are staying," he whispered.
Barbie Girl by Aqua
Cordelia walked in like the queen she is, her cronies already coming (Harmony and the rest). Her little affair with Xander had hurt her position, but she was back. Still she felt empty.
Hi Barbie!
Hi Ken!
You wanna go for a ride?
Sure, Ken!
Jump in!
Ha ha ha ha!
Harmony was saying, "… and then there is this new girl. I mean, come on, that type of shirt was old when my dad was young." Cordelia barely looked up. "What's her name?" Harmony replied, "Cassandra or something nerdy."
(Chorus)
I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world.
Life in plastic, it's fantastic.
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere.
Imagination, that is your creation.
Some one mentioned a party later on. Cordelia was relived, if she heard one minute more of Harmony trashing the new geek, she'd kill Harmony her self.
Come on Barbie, let´s go party!
(Chorus)
I´m a blond bimbo girl, in a fantasy world,
Dress me up, make it tight, I´m your darling.
You are my doll, rock´n´roll, feel the glamouring thing,
kiss me here, touch me there, hanky panky.
Cordelia was remembering that, with Xander, she could be herself, she could care and be cared about, not being afraid of backstabbers. Once again, a small voice screamed louder and loader that dumping him was a mistake, made itself heard. She quickly stomped that voice down. Not now.
You can touch, you can play,
if you say "I´m always yours"
uu-oohuh..
(Chorus)
Come on Barbie, let´s go party! (Four Times)
Cordy looked at her sheep. "Dad got a new car; he is lending it to me. What do you say of going to LA, girls?" Seing them nod, she looked at one of the football players. "Are you and you friend really going to leave us poor defenseless girls alone?"
The jock said, "Ha! Finally tire of the looser Xander, Cordy?"
Cordelia's anger was hotter and she could not stop herself. She grabbed the jock's ear. "Xander is million time the man you are, pencil dick. Don't you know what the girls are calling you? The smallest man on earth, that's what."
Make me walk, make me talk, do whatever you please,
I can act like a star, I can beg on my knees.
Come jump in, be my friend, let us do it again,
hit the town, fool around, let´s go party
The jock paled and walked away; around him the others were laughing. Cordelia swallowed her anger. She had to make up with Xander. She will not be some stupid 'Barbie girl', a future trophy wife.
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I´m always yours"
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I´m always yours"
(Chorus)
Come on Barbie, let´s go party! (Four Times)
(Chorus)
Come on Barbie, let´s go party! (Four Times)
As she entered the library she could see Xander kissing and holding the hands of a girl. Their clothes were a mess and the smell… she could feel the smell of sex in the air. Crying, she turned and ran without Xander even noticing. Cordy could feel her heart breaking; inside, she cried. But on the outside, her face turned blank, turned empty as the queen bitch, her only defense, came back.
Oh, I´m having so much fun!
Well Barbie, we just getting started.
Oh, I love you Ken.
Ballad of the Green Beret ˜ Sgt. Barry Sadler and Robin Moore Fighting
Jack O'Neil adjusted his sunglasses and his smile was firmly in place. Cassandra had called and he always liked to spend time with her, she was like his own daughter. He remembered when he and his team had saved her and Doctor Frasier had adopted her officially. Unofficially, the whole SG-1 team considered her their daughter. But something about her voice made him nervous; made him angry. Something was wrong. And if any one had hurt her, may god have mercy on their soul.
Fighting soldiers from the sky,
Fearless men who jump and die.
Men who mean just what they say,
The brave men of the Green Beret.
Jack's mind turned to ice as he heard the big scream from Cassandra and her voice begging for mercy. With a growl he kicked open the library door and what he saw turned his heart to ice. Above an obviously terrified Cassandra, stood the dirtiest, greasy-looking punk he ever seen holding a gun to her head. Growling in fury he jumped the young man. "Die bastard!"
Silver wings upon their chests,
These are men, America's best,
One hundred men we'll test today,
But only three win The Green Beret.
Cassandra screamed as she desperately tried to hold her laughter in. Dumping that chocolate cake on Xander sure was fun. "No. NO! Not the Water gun. I have a white shirt on. They will see me. NOO! Giggling, "No, NO Xander! NOOOOOOO!"
Xander jumped her and started to smile evilly seeing Cassandra giggling and screaming under him then a voice was heard, 'Die Bastard' and his world exploded in pain.
Trained to live off nature's land,
Trained to combat, hand to hand.
Men who fight by night and day,
Courage take from The Green Beret.
Jack jumped the young man. Quickly gripping his gun in one hand, he gave him a sucker-punch making him lose his breath. They rolled in a pile, Jack landing on top. He fast began to hit him. "First my son dies and now you try to kill Cassandra," he said. As he started to hit the punk again, something grabbed his fist.
Silver wings upon their chests,
These are men, America's best,
One hundred men we'll test today,
But only three win The Green Beret.
Cassandra, as fast as she could, grabbed Jack's fist. "NOoo! Don't Jack, don't." For a moment, Jack's other fist was flying toward her, then it stopped. "Oo god," Jack said. "I almost hit you. Why are you defending him?"
Back at home a young wife waits,
Her Green Beret has met his fate.
He has died for those oppressed,
Leaving her this last request.
Cassandra look angry now. "O'Neil. Look at the gun, NOW!" Jack took a careful look at it, swallowing. "It's… it's a toy gun," he said. Dread and shame filled him. "But why were you screaming? Why did he…?" Cassandra carefully looked Xander over, seeing that he was alright. She answered, "I pushed a joke too far when I threw a cake in his face," she said. "How did I know that he had a water gun and was ready to use it?"
Put silver wings on my son's chest,
Make him one of America's best,
He'll be a man they'll test one day,
Have him win The Green Beret.
Jack asked, "A water gun?"
Cassandra nodded sarcastically. "Jack, I'd like you to meet the guy, Xander Harris. He saved my life from five monsters that try to rape and kill me. By the way, he is my boyfriend."
"He saved you life?" Jack said in a unsure voice. "Your Boyfriend?!" His voice had a dangerous tone in it now. Then something clicked. "Xander Harris; it's not Alexander Harris, is it?" he asked, dread and fear filled him.
Cassandra said, "He doesn't like his full name."
Xander carefully stood up. From Cassandra's talk, they obviously were friends, but the man's pale face made him nervous; especially the way the old man looked at him. Jack's mind was filled with memory of a goodbye. *I'm sorry, Jack. I'm married. I believed that he was dead, but he's back. We can't see each other any more.* And of a telephone call, *Jack, I had a son. It's your child, but I don't want to cause any family problems. Please, if you ever loved me, don't contact our son until he's an adult. For me, please.* By then he was married himself and his wife was pregnant. Then it became too late, much too late. And now he was an abusive dad, his mind told him. Jack looked up at his son. "Hi Xander, I'm your dad. I meant I'm O'Neil, Jack, your real dad. Hmm, sorry about that." Jack's mind slowly rewound what he said. *Damnit! Stupid brain, why didn't you work?*
Seing the shocked looks on Cassandra and his kid and some other kids that must have been close by, all he could think was, *This should have been said under better circumstances.*
Giles took of his glasses and started to clean them; this was just one of those days…
Soul Man - As performed on 'Briefcase Full Of Blues'
Words & Music by David Porter & Isaac Hayes
Comin' to ya on a dusty road
Good lovin' I got a truck load
And when you get it you got something
So don't worry cause I'm coming
Jack was wishing he were anywhere but here. Goa'uld torture chambers where looking fun. On the other side of the sofa sat the reason of his discomfort; his only living child. Again, for the millionth time that night, he wished that their meting had been less chaotic.
"So Dad you do know how to fight professionally?" Xander said.
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
Jack replied, "Military black ops, can't tell you."
Xander snorted. "Yeah, right. I have seen and kept secrets larger then USA, DAD."
Jack smiled thinking about the StarGate. "Sorry about… you know."
Xander looked at him. "No, I don't. Hitting me? Or abandoning me?" he asked.
Got what I got the hard way
And I'll make it better each and every day
So honey don't you fret
Cause you ain't seen nothing yet
Jack flinched, swallowing, hoping for the best. Only the truth could help him. "I am NOT sorry for hitting you. I believed you were attacking Cassandra." Jack was surprised that Xander actually smiled as he spoke. "You're welcome. But next time, be less aggressive." His eyes were soon hard again. Jack flinched. "I am sorry for abandoning you."
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
Play it Steve!
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
Xander look at him, carefully thinking about the good thing Cassandra had said about Jack; a man that never would betray a friend or family. "Then Why, Dad? Why?" Jack looked down. "When I met your mom, my girlfriend had broken up and I was messed up. Your mother was even worse; her husband was MIA and believed dead." He looked down. "It was one night after that, never more. We became friends, believe me." Xander nods. "I understand friendship."
Listen I was brought up on a side street
I learned how to love before I could eat
I was educated from good stock
When I start lovin' I just can't stop
Jack returned, "Yeah, you have many girls as friends." Xander looked at him until he continued. "When your dad came back, he was suspicious of our friendship, so I left and eventually my old flame came back to me. I asked her to marry me and she said yes. It was the happiest moment in my life. I love her with my heart and soul, Xander," Jack said. "Then she became pregnant with my son, your brother. He died when he was only 12 years old. When she was seven months pregnant, your mother called telling me about you and asking, begging me not to break up her happy marriage to claim you." Jack looked ashamed.
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
Xander said, "I understand." Jack responded, "No, you don't. I regretted saying yes ever since then. The only reason I even did it was because I was afraid; afraid of losing my wife, afraid of losing you and your brother." Jack stood up walking back and forth. "There has not been a day I haven't thought of calling and asking how you were, but it was too late and I didn't have the guts. Your mother is a good woman, Xander and her husband is a kind gentle man, she said so herself."
Well grab the rope and I'll pull you in
Give you hope and be your only boyfriend
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
The bitter laugh from Xander made a shiver of ice run down Jack's spine. "What?" Xander just frowned. "You must be joking. Once mom was that… once. But HE I believed to be 'dad' is and always was, a drunken, abusive asshole. Just look at his police records," Xander said.
Jack paled. "I trusted your mother, we where friends."
Xander just look down, "So that's where I got my trust in friends from."
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
You're a soul man
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
I'm a soul man
Jack sat down. "I'm sorry."
"Me too," Xander said.
Jack frowned. "What do you have to be sorry for?"
Xander smiled evilly. "I'm going to show you what's wrong with this town and my night hobby. So I'm sorry. You'll understand later, when you awaken screaming in fear." With that, Xander stood up and walked to Cassandra who was patiently waiting in the other room. "Jack… Dad, nothing to forgive. You believe you did the best for me; it just backfired." He then walked out of the room.
Jack was thinking on what Xander said about screaming in fear. The look in his eyes made his spine turn to ice and he really wanted to run away, but he knew he could not. He had a chance of making up with his son. "Thanks son," he said. Tears of relief and sadness fell from his face. In his mind, he could still see his other son, Xander's half-brother, on the floor with his face shot away. The other son, Xander, he left to a drunken abuser. "I'm really the winner of Dad of the year award," he said bitterly.
"Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect)" By Robyn
Jack took the phone. The last night had really been an eye opener. Demons… Vampires… and his son, his child, was out there every night, without support, fighting them. He felt like crying: his son was a real hero. Jack swallowed and continued dialing the number; after all, he had a mission to complete.
"Hammond speaking. Who is it?
Jack's eyes twinkled with humor. "Jack, reporting as ordered, Sir."
"Jack, let me page Dr. Fraiser and the rest of the SG-1 team, then we can continue."
Jack winced; everybody at the same time. There were times when SG-1 was like one big family and General Hammond as Dad had some drawbacks; especially as they all considered Cassy to be one of them… a sister, a child or a granddaughter. *Poor Xander, my poor boy,* he thought.
Boy listen to me careful now
Cause this is something every man should know
Oh this is a lesson about how
You treat your girl rigth just let it show
That you love her that you need her say
That you want her in every way
You gotta show your girl a little respect
Or you won't get nothing back but hate
It's those little things that mean so much
You gotta treat her right
Or get out of her sight
Soon Hammond had put Jack on the speakers. "Sir, is this line secure?" Jack asked, causing an explosion of questions. Hammond quieted them down. "It is, son, why?"
"Well, just in case." Flinching a bit on how stupid that sounded.
Fraiser was the first. "How is she?" she asked.
Jack thought about it… hunting vampires, making love. "Fine. She has a boyfriend, Xander," he said.
Carter noticed that his voice was strange when he mentioned Xander's name. "Jack, is something wrong with Xander? Is he treating Cassandra right?"
Jack flinched. "Um, yeah. In fact, when they met, he saved her life from five hostiles."
Fraiser said, "Her life? Why didn't she tell me?" Hammond held her shoulder.
Carter asked, "So everything is fine between Xander and her?"
Jack replied, "Yeah, it's just… you know."
Hammond said, "We don't know, Jack."
Do you really want me am I really special
Taking is so easy boys giving is unusual
If you really want me don't make we wait too long
Respect and love is the key just listen to my song
Jack continued. "When I first met him, they where playing around. He had a water gun and I kind of mistook it for a real gun."
Daniel interrupted, "Don't tell me, you beat him up and now they are both angry."
Jack returned, "No, they forgave me and Xander said I did the right thing then."
Hammond asked, "What's got you so upset then, Jack?"
Jack replied, "Ah, well, Xander and me are kind of family."
Teal'c asked, "Family, Jack?"
Jack replied, "A teensy-weensy affair; I was drunk, his mother was drunk, then 9 month later… Xander is born."
The silence was ominous. "So you accidentally beat up your kid," Daniel said.
Hammond's voice was friendly. "I can understand that made you upset, Jack."
Jack flinched. "That is not exactly what makes me upset, sir."
Safe is how she wants to feel
Protect her with all you've got
Oh she wants to know your love's for real
And be a good lover make her hot
Then she'll do everything love you day and night
She'll do anything just do her right
It's those little things that mean so much
You gotta treat her right
Or get out of her sight
Fraiser, getting irritated, asked, "Tell us Colonel, NOW what is making you upset?"
"You will NOT believe me," Jack said looking down. "Last night, Xander and Cassandra took me out hunting Vampires… real, scary, bloodsucking fiends of the night. They make the Goa'uld seem kind and cuddly."
"Are you out of your mind? This must be some kind of trick," Hammond said forcefully.
"I wish it was, sir, but the Vamps turned to dust as soon as they got a piece of wood in their heart. It was a convincing argument." Jack leaned back listening to the racket on the other side.
Daniel spoke up. "Sir, I hate to say this," he blushed, "but vampires exist, Sir. I was made dinner many years ago by one, then a teenage girl saved my life."
Hammond's voice was hard. "So, are you saying that your child and Cassandra are out hunting vampires?"
"Essentially, yeah. Unless some one does, innocent civilians would die. They and their friends, other kids, are out there every night, fighting and saving lives without support."
(Chorus)
Girls don't give up, give your best
No part time job, no time to rest
Let him know what's up before
So he can give you more and more
Hammond said, "I will send the rest of the team down to investigate. I expect a full report, Jack. See if we can at least stop those kids from dieing."
Jack grinned. "Hammond, Xander is as stubborn as I am. He is in this fight to save lives; nothing will make him give it up. He is like me and you know how Cassandra is. Our best chance is training and support, sir."
"We will see."
Black-Eyed Pea's Lyrics - "Where Is The Love?"
What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Badness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all
"This look like a nice place; what do you think?" Daniel asked the others
"I love these small towns, they always make me feel safe," Samantha replied.
"If the records are correct, it has more crime than LA and, if Jack is telling the truth, this is the last place in the world to be safe, Sam."
"Indeed Sam," the large Jaffa said.
"Oh, not you, too?" Sam complained. "It must be a trick. Maybe some alien or something. That Giles have has friends in MI-6; it might be a diversion," she said, blushing as both Teal'c and Daniel looked at her as she where crazy. "It's still more logical than vampires. If they exist, where is the proof?"
Daniel smiled. Finally the question had come. He put his hand in his backpack and took out a large pile of books and gave them to Sam. She carefully started to look. "Dracula, Lestat, Are you…?"
Daniel smiled. "There is more incidental proof of Vamps existing than there is of Aliens and we both have seen those."
People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek
"Children. Children, behave now," Xander said, gaining angry looks from Samantha and Daniel but he continued. "The proof you want to see you are going to see tonight." He then frowned. "Everybody except you," he said pointing to Teal'c. Behind him, Jack stood trying not to laugh. Cassandra just laughed. Only the help of a red-headed girl gave her strength to stand up as she giggled away.
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)
Daniel said, "Just look at Jack, he certainly is his child."
Teal'c looked curios. "Why is it that I can't see it, Xander."
Xander replied, "The main way of hunting Vampires is by going around looking tasty and harmless. You don't look harmless and most Vamps are less then brave." He smiled.
Teal'c responded, "Indeed, that would be troublesome."
Xander nodded. "Giles has promised to go and grave sit with you."
Samantha said, "Grave sit?"
Xander smiled. "Waiting on a newly made vampire to rise; boring but necessary."
Teal'c replied, "That would be fine."
"Giles, it IS Rupert Giles from London, right?" Daniel asked.
Xander added, "And he also wants a Dr. Jackson to be with him and Willow while Grave sitting."
Jack looked at Samantha, Xander, Cassandra and Dr Fraiser that would be with Xander's team. "Goody, just the five of us looking tasty."
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love The love, the love
The night would have been silent except… "So I read your study in Egyptian archeology. Really… Aliens?" Giles said.
Daniel replied, "The proof is quite obvious that some one must have helped and I can't tell you of any proof I have, but I am sure of my theory."
Giles look carefully. "I see."
Daniel continued, "I did read you writing about the Sphinx. Fascinating."
"Really? And the connection to ancient Demons was not to outrageous?" Giles asked.
"Not really," Daniel replied. "You never said 'demons' straight out and I personally have seen aliens and vampires myself."
"Fascinating," Giles said. "Aliens you say."
"Oh, forgot I said that," Daniel interjected. "Mission… secret conspiracy, you know."
"Yes, I am quite aware of those," Giles said as he remembered his youth as a teenager, with him and his childhood friend, Bond, fighting side-by-side with Emma Peel.
Willow rolled her eyes. "They talk too much," she complained, but went silent looking at Oz and Teal'c. Oz raised his eyebrow and looked at Daniel. Teal'c smiled a bit and Oz nodded his head in understanding. Teal'c raised his eyebrow looking at Giles. Oz rolled his eyes and smiled. Teal'c nodded his head in understanding before raising his eyebrow looking at Willow. Oz blushed and licked his lips. Teal'c nodded and had a huge grin on his face, understanding exactly what the young man was telling him.
Willow asked, "Oz, what did you and Teal'c talk about?"
Teal'c raised his eyebrow in surprise. "We were not talking, only communicating."
Oz nodded. "Indeed," he said.
Between them the earth begun to move as the vampire started crawling up.
It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't really know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't really know)
Where's the love, y'all
"So far so good," Jack said earning an irritated look from Xander.
"Jack… Dad, this is the Hellmouth, strange things happening is normal. Do not challenge your luck. Do you understand?"
Samantha spoke up. "Hellmouth? Come on, where are the vampires? Come forward, tasty human here. Juicy, bloody humans. Come out now Vampires."
"Don't challenge our luck, Sam" Cassandra hissed.
Dr. Fraiser added, "Stop it, Sam. You are scaring Cassandra."
Samantha stopped. "Sorry Cass."
"I'm not afraid," Cassandra said.
Xander looked at Sam. "She do this during your gate missions, also?"
Jack nodded. "Yeah, just brings down the bad luck."
Xander twisted. "Let me guess, she's the one that says WIWTCH."
Jack nodded, "Exactly."
Fraiser asked, "WIWTCH?"
Sam rolled her eyes. "What's The Worst That Can Happen?"
Xander, Jack and Cassy all cried out, "NO, don't!" And they began to tense.
"This is ridiculous," Fraiser said. "What are you afraid of?"
Xander pointed behind the doctor. "Him… and his friends." Fraiser could see how Jack and Cassy suddenly were pale as ghosts. Then she heard a voice from a horror movie. "Huuman tasty." As she turned around, a large creature was looking down on her, spikes of bone where shooting in and out of its arms and it looked like it had thick, bone armor. Four humans with yellow eyes and fangs stood by his side.
"This is your fault, Sam," Jack accused and he drew his gun.
Xander look around desperately. "Keep them busy," he said and ran away.

Willow knocked the Vampire hard on the skull and he fell down hard. Giles quickly shot an arrow in the vampire's left hand, immobilizing it. Oz was fast on the follow up and pushed his stake in the vampire's right hand. Giles said, "Mr. Teal'c, just push your wooden stake in the creature's heart and you see for yourself."
Teal'c walked forward and rammed the stake in. "Unusual," he said as the vampire turned to dust underneath him.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" echoed around the cemetery as Jack and Samantha each emptied another clip in the large Polgara demons. "Die you stupid bastard!" he said, but every shot just bounced off its armor or healed. At least one of the vampires died after a bullet had ripped its head off. Xander ran forward from nowhere, holding a sharp wooden spear. Before the demon even had time to react, Xander had pierced it from the side and the demon fell down and started to turn in to a puddle of goo. Xander turned around and threw his spear in the dark. Cassandra was barely able to keep the vampire off her mother when it suddenly it turned to dust and a long wooden spear fell at her feet. off the two remaining vampires, one had its knees shot out, the other suddenly looked afraid. Then Xander came running and, with a large jump, he crashed into the vampire and drove both of them to the ground. They rolled in separate directions. Xander looked up, seeing Cassandra looking worriedly at him. "Hi, beautiful. The vampire, could you…?" Cassandra ran over, kicked the vampire in the head and drove the stake in its heart. Jack shot the last wounded vampire in its neck, killing it by decapitation.
Xander turned and looked at Samantha. "Never, ever say those words again." Seeing her start to protest, his eyes turned dark and Sam suddenly wished she were elsewhere… prison camp on a Goa'uld home world looked nice right about now. "Do you understand me? NEVER, EVER say those words again."
Samantha licked her lip. "I understand sir," she said.
Suddenly Xander's smile turned goofy again. "Cool, let's go and have some ice cream."

Cassandra said, "That was not nice."
Xander nodded. "I know, but in this area, it's suicide to say those worlds."
"I know," she said sadly.
Fraiser had finally found her voice. "That… that large creature, what was it?" she asked.
Jack added, "Yeah, what was it and why did you run away?"
Xander waved them closer to him as they walked back to base. "That was a Polgara demon, ONLY things made of natural material; wood, stone or cold iron, not steel, or fire and magic can kill them. They have a thick bone armor except on the side, but the heart is too deep inside for a stake to reach."
"That's why you ran away, to find and make a spear," Jack realized.
Xander nodded. "Yup, I knew that your gun would hurt it, but not kill it.
"Smart, good tactics," Jack said, making Xander blush.
Cassandra hugged him. "I was so scared when you run away."
Xander apologized, "I'm so sorry, Cassandra. I didn't…"
Fraiser stopped him. "If you had stayed, we would have been dead by now. It was a risk, but necessary." Sam added, "It still was not my fault."
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive to lover is found
Hammonds telephone rang. "Hammond speaking… Hello… I See… You are sure… That was convincing evidence… And the government, what are they doing? THEY ARE DOING NOTHING… Okay, I see… I see… No, stay there for the moment and lend your support. I will see if I can send over some one from the Special Forces; I know some guys there… I will have to get evidence before contacting the White House, Jack… Alright, good night and give Cassandra my best." Hammond's hand was trembling as he looked up at his visitor. "You are right, vampires and demons exist," he said. "But I think I can give you a surprise." The man looked curious. "Sunnydale is on a Hellmouth."
The man's smile annoyed Hammond a bit. He stood up. "Interesting, maybe I can find my redemption there," he said.
Hammond asked, "So you're going to help them then?"
The man nodded. "I will."
Hammond shook his hand. "Then they are in safe hands, Mr. Casca."
His smile was friendly; almost like the one you give family. Casca Rufio Longinus, the former Roman soldier that drove the spear into the side of Jesus and was cursed to live until they met again, gave his adopted grandson, and now friend, a smile. "I will, Shorty," he said as he walked out the door.

Sam said, "So, if I get this right, the slayer, your charge, ran away after she sent her boyfriend, a VAMPIRE with a soul, to hell."
Xander replied, "Well, he lost the soul first and tried to destroy the world. But essentially you are right."
Sam shook her head. "Are you crazy or what? Letting Buffy fall in love with a creepy vampire. Why didn't you drive him away?"
Willow explained, "No, Angel was kind and heroic. He even saved her from drowning when the master killed her."
Jack could see Xander's eyes turn dark. "Willow, Angel did that by himself?"
Willow replied, "Ah, no, he took Xander with him."
Sam said, "That's strange. Why didn't he go alone, or take Giles with him? Why Xander? Sure you can fight, Xander, but still…"
Xander looked scared suddenly. Willow noticed that. "Xander, what DID happen that night?" Her resolve face burned in Xander eyes.
Xander said, "Nothing special: I kind of forced Deadboy to guide me to the master's cave holding a stake at his heart and a cross in his face."

Oz said, "Impressive."
Teal'c said, "You don't look surprised like the rest of them."
Oz replied, "No, Angelus, that's Angel without a soul, came to kill Buffy, but Xander drove him away, unarmed."
Willow "X-----ander?"
Xander's jaw was wide open. "How did you know that?"
Oz said, "I was on my way home."
Willow was looking shocked and surprised. "Why didn't you tell me?" she said.
Giles was nodding. "That's right, why didn't any one of you tell us?"
Oz said, "Not my story to tell," and look at Teal'c with a raised eyebrow. Teal'c smiled a bit and gave Oz the last Coca-Cola. Oz was happy. Finally someone that could and would communicate.
The rest focused on Xander. "It was nothing, alright," Xander said.
"I think I'd like a full report," Jack said in full command tone. He wondered sometimes why Xander always tended to obey when he did that.
Xander snapped to attention. "Yes sir," he replied, internally cursing solider boy.

In Sunnydale, Joyce sat listening in on the discussion and argument that the SG-1 and Scooby gang talked about. For the millionth time, she cursed herself. *Why did I give Buffy that ultimatum and why did she take me seriously?* Joyce wished she could cry, but her tears were empty. She just wanted her child back.
In the living room, Xander finally stopped talking. "… and that's that, sir."
Giles was at a loss. "Vampires selling human body organs and you stopped them with a bomb?"
"They were too many," Xander replied.
"So that's what happen to my guitar. I forgive you," Oz said.
Xander joked, "My life or the guitar, brother."
Sam said, "You managed to stop a Demon from assassinating the president?"
Xander corrected her, "NO, planning, NOT assassinating. It's a difference. Had I waited, I would have been a hero."
Cassandra was giggling. "So that's where you learned to do that thing when you kiss."
Xander blushed. "Well, for a bug lady, she was a good kisser."
Teal'c said, "And you never managed to travel to that world again?"
Xander shook his head. "No, but it was fun."

Dr Fraiser asked, "The hyena possession; are you sure the only after affects are your senses?"
Xander replied, "Well, I kind of heal faster."
Daniel commented, "That solider possession was intriguing."
Willow was upset. "I can't believe you lied to Buffy about the soul curse."
Xander explained, "If I didn't, do you think Buffy would have survived?"
Willow reluctantly agreed, "I-I no, I don't think so."
Xander carefully got up and hugged Willow, his eyes were looking at Oz, wondering if he could tell the others about the time the two of them save the world. Oz pondered a moment then shook his head, it wasn't important; only some raving clans of werewolves, a stolen Nuke and a crazy tin-pot dictator's troops hiding in Sunnydale. Besides, the Black Ops guys had forced them to swear an oath of silence. Teal'c raised his eyebrow looking at Xander and Oz, questioning. The two of them looked back, rolled their eyes and smiled grimly. Teal'c was not sure he understood, just something about military or crazy maniacs. Well, that wasn't too important. Impressive that Xander could communicate also.
In the streets of LA, Buffy decided to come back to Sunnydale before the school started and hopeful her mom still loved her.

EAGLES LYRICS "Hotel California"
Xander looked around the new house. Jack, or Dad, was sleeping on the sofa. Momma and the man he had believed was dad had more or less thrown him out, letting Jack take care of him. Surprisingly, Jack did it and was happy about having Xander near him. A smile was on Xander's face, maybe this is how a real family should be there for each other. He felt a pair of small arms hug him. Cassandra put her head on his shoulder. "You're supposed to look at me, not your dad."
Xander smiled. "I know, it's just so strange. Dad, someone I respect and like. Strange."
On a dark desert highway
Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy, and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell
Then she lit up a candle
And she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say…
Buffy cleaned her hair in the dirty sink in the rest room. Stupid thieving bitch had stolen her money, and now she had to clean her self in public restroom. If she had any luck, she might find a vampire with money. If she where lucky. "I want my mom," Buffy said to her mirror.
Cordelia looked at her boyfriend, a stupid jock with a rich mother and father, spoiled. In the window's reflection she could see herself, empty eyes that held no laughter. Why did she have to dump Xander? Why did Cassandra come and steal his heart? Why? She knew why, because she was stupid enough to allow it to happen.

Casca drank a bottle of whisky remembering another time when Lida was alive. He looked at the map; Sunnydale and a Hellmouth; at least something interesting. The 2000-year-old man that once killed Jesus as he hung from the crucifix, walked out, hoping that the Jew would finally come and release him from life.
Her mind is Tiffany twisted
She's got the Mercedes bends
She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
That she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard
Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember

Buffy stood at the road, hitching, hoping the next guy wouldn't be a pervert, a vampire, or a demon or a killer. Actually, the vampire had not been that bad, but he was dust now. And the Demon… kind of cool guy; she hoped they met again, he was fun. So desperately hoping the next guy was not a pervert or killer. Once again she spoke, "I want my home, my family, my friends. I hope mom's forgiven me." Her tears were long dry.
Cordy looked out from the window of the car. For a moment she was certain she had seen a dirty Buffy, standing on the side of the road, but that must have been wishful thinking. And her boyfriend continued talking about how big a hero he was for stopping a robber from stealing his own money.
So I called up the Captain
Please bring me my wine
He said
We haven't had that spirit here since 1969
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say…
Samantha looked up. She had not been able to sleep well in days; ever since her perfect world of science and order were destroyed and Demons and vampire started to exist. "I need to walk," she said."
Xander broke free from Cassandra's hug. "I'll help her, she needs to talk."
"Indeed," Teal'c said, and his eyebrow rose and nose widened.
Oz nodded. "So true, so true, some just kept their emotions hidden too long."

Xander walked behind Samantha then he begun to talk. "Fifteen years I lived believing vampires and demons to be stories, not real. It began over there," he said, pointing at a rail.
Samantha looked at him. "What?" she asked.
Xander smiled. "I fell in love, or in lust. She was blonde and called 'Buffy' and she opened my eyes to the darkness and the monsters. It's hard to handle; I don't know how many times I felt like just breaking apart."
Samantha retorted, "You? Breaking a part? I find that hard to believe after the things you showed us and told us you did."
Xander replied, "No, it's true. I am always afraid; if I fail, what if someone dies. But if I don't do it, more will die."
Sam countered, "You are just a kid, you can turn away."
Xander said, "And you can ask for reassignment and most likely get it."
Sam asked, "Are you helping, or trying to get me to quit?"
Xander smiled "You don't want to quit, do you?"
Sam replied, "No. It's just the world doesn't make any sense anymore."
"Did the world really make sense before?" Xander asked.
"No, not really; there was always something new that broke the laws of nature as we understand it," said Samantha.
"This is just one of those things," Xander told her.
Sam smiled. "I think I can see it. But the evil, how can you stand it?"
Xander nodded. "Not every Demon is evil and there are plenty of 'good' vampires that actively try to stop other demons and vampires from ending the world." Seeing Samantha's disbelief, Xander continued. "The good Vampires still need human blood to drink so, in our eyes, they are evil, but some buy it instead of hunting."
"So this make me feel better?" Samantha asked.
"Hopefully, knowing the world is not black and white will make you feel good again," Xander explained.
Sam nodded. "It actually does. The good vampires may not enjoy carnage, but they still have their hunting instinct," she said smiling.
Mirrors on the ceiling
Pink champagne on ice
And she said
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device
And in the master's chambers
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives
But they just can't kill the beast
A car stopped and a sleazy-looking man looked at Buffy with hungry eyes. Buffy quickly jumped in and put her stake at his heart. Smiling, she said, "Hi, I am Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and you are my private driver."
The vampire gasped, "O shit." There he was, minding his own business, just planning having a little fun raping and hurting this girl. *Damnit, life ain't fair,* the vampire thought as Buffy told him to drive to Sunnydale.
Cordelia stood up and walked inside; she needed to talk to someone. Giles put some books away when Cordelia walked to him and fell apart in tears. "So, so, there now," he said, trying to find something to stop the flood of tears.
"Giles," she said. "Am I a bad person?"
"No, Cordelia, you are not."
She let a new flood of tears fall. "I don't want to be empty again. Can you help me? Can you let me help Xander, Willow and Cassandra? I'd like to help."
"Of course… I will tell them. You can come with me," he said, wondering what happened to her and who he should hurt. "Now Cordelia, who was the one that hurt you," he said with a caring look of a dad. But behind it, Cordy could see anger and lust to hurt anyone that hurt his children.
Cordelia started to cry and laughed. "I hurt myself. I was stupid." Giggling and crying, she fell on his shoulder. "Thanks."
Giles took off his glasses "Bloody American," he whispered fondly.
Last thing I remember

Joyce walked with empty steps toward the door and life really didn't mean much, now that her stupid anger and fear made her lovely child run away. She open the door looking out. Buffy was afraid, shuffling her feet when the door opened. She could see Mom's eyes turn on her then suddenly she could barely breathe as Joyce hugged her and was crying, begging her to forgive her.
Buffy's tears started to pour out, she was home again. The vampire sat in his car, drying a couple of tears. "That was so-o moving," he said as he drove away. Luckily, the Slayer had such a rush that she didn't care about dusting him. As Buffy and Joyce walked in, something clicked in Buffy's brain. "I forgot to dust the vampire," she said.
Survivor Lyrics - Eye Of The Tiger
Buffy Stretch her neck and walked in to Giles new home was Joyce said they had the meetings now days it would be great to see Giles and the Scoobs again. She open the door and look in just to scream "What is happening" Inside she could see Xander and Giles standing over a small model of Sunnydale a large man with a tattoo was standing beside them as Xander was pointing on different thing. Several others were walking around in military fatigues. She could see Willow and Oz talking to a girl her age. And Cordelia sitting next, dressed almost like Willow. Xander smiled. "I had to reorganize a bit Buffy"
Risin' up, back on the street
Took my time, took my chances
Went the distance
Now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
So many times, it happened too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
Cordelia knew it; she was back. She had friends, not backstabbers and the shirt was ugly, but so comfy. "If you tell anyone about me wearing this shirt, I'll have to kill you," she giggled to Willow and her new friend, Cassandra.
It's the Eye of the Tiger,
It's the thrill of the fight,
Rising up to the challenge of our rival,
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night,
And he's watching us all
With the Eye of the Tiger
As Buffy walked out she looked a bit suspiciously at her slayer partner; sure he was big, and I'm talking BIG. "I'm not sure this is a good idea," she said.
Teal'c looked down, "Why?"
She said, "No vampire is brave enough to attack you."
Teal'c replied, "We know, that is why we are cleaning nests, Buffy."
Buffy frowned. "I still think this is a dumb idea. Do I have to have this head-thingy on?"
"It's a comlink and it's fore your safety. Our support will meet us their" Teal'c answered.
Buffy looked worried. "What if they eat our support?"
Face to face -- out in the heat,
Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds still we take to the street
For the kill, with the skill to survive
The vampire screamed as it turned to dust. Casca smiled and drew his sword. "Stupid bugger, my blood is poison." He then attacked the other vampire that was too surprised to even defend itself. Sitting down on a grave stone he complained, "Slayers are never on time." Finally he could hear a voice arguing. He sat still, holding his sword, just waiting. Finally they arrived. "Hi, I'm Casca and your support," he said. "You are Buffy, the slayer."
"Yeah, how do we know you're good?" she asked.
Casca replied, "I've killed one or two things in my life."
Buffy smile and rolled her eyes. "Right, so impressed, I killed the 'Judge'," she said, hoping this amateur would not get her killed.
Casca was slightly impressed about the Judge. "I killed Jesus Christ, son of God, now let's go." Buffy blinked. Did he say…?

Xander and Cassandra jumped the vampire at full speed. Driving her knee right in the back of the first vampire, Cassandra could feel its backbone crack. Xander landed, driving his foot in the vampire's knee. As the Vampire fell on the ground, its victim took his stake and killed the vampire.
Jack looked up, checking that Sam was alright. "Next time son, you and Cassy are the bait."
Xander replied, "What, with you bum knee?"
Jack said, "She almost bit me."
Xander looked at the dust pile and smiled. "An old man like you should be glad that some one that young wanted to bite them."
"Hey, I am NOT a pervert," he said.
Xander raised his eyebrow. "How come every vampire hits on you then?"
Jack frowned. "I just look tasty."
Cassandra giggled, "Great, Xander the Demon magnet and Jack the Vampire appetizer, you sure are father and son."
"Hey, I'm not a…" Jack and Xander turned to look at each other. Then, in one smooth motion, they drew their holy water guns.
"Noo!" Cassandra screamed as they relentlessly fired, soaking her.
Risin' up -- straight to the top,
Had the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive
Cordy loaded her crossbow. She was sitting together with Wesley on top of a house. "This is wrong," Wesley complained.
"It's boring, but effective," Cordelia said with a defensive tone.
He snorted. "It's against tradition," he said.
Cordy replied, "We are saving lives."
Wesley nodded. "I know," he said.
"This is boring," she complained.
"It's against tradition, but we saving lives," he said in a defensive tone.
"I could do better things, you know."
Wesley nodded. "I know," he said.
Finally, they saw their target. Smiling, they fired on the current master vampire of Sunnydale.
"Bugger," was all Spike said as he and Dru turned to dust.
It's the Eye of the Tiger,

Buffy looked at Xander as he stood hugging Cassandra while explaining the mission and the tactics he and Jack managed to create to Casca and her. So far, she had understood the word Mission; the rest was lost.
"It's a good idea to attack the nest during day time" Casca said.
Xander smiled. "It is, but just to make them unsure, we do this night time attack also."
Jack smiled. "That's my boy."
"You have a firm grip on tactics. It's still a bit raw," Casca said. "But that's why I am here, to teach and advise."
Xander suddenly look afraid. "Are you going to take over?"
Casca replied. "No, Jack over there is the new commander of the anti-Demon force the Pentagon has assembled, codenamed 'The Initiative'. The White House also said that they'd like YOU, Xander, to join the force as an officer in training."
Xander sputtered. "But I-I-I…"
"Have one hell of career ahead of you," Casca completed. Jack looked surprised.
Casca continued. "They will send over a civilian researcher, a Margaret Walsh, to do research on demons and how to kill them more efficiently. I don't trust her, Jack, so keep her under tight control."
Xander said, "But I'm too young."
Casca explained, "They said to make an exception if you'd like to. After all, you are already doing it, why not do it and get paid?"
The eye of the tiger... The eye of the tiger... The eye of the tiger...
Buffy begun to stand up; did they even need her? Casca smiled, "Buffy, we will need your slayer help even more. But first the boring stuff, like teaching you our new methods."
Buffy said, "Ooh, more school."
Willow hugged her. "Don't worry it's easy and I'll help you."
Buffy smiled. "Yeah, and then we show those vamps who is the boss. Will I get paid too?"
Casca smiled. "Yeah, unlike the Watchers Council, we will pay you to do your work."
Buffy smiled.
Jesus He Knows Me (Banks/Collins/Rutherford, main lyricist Collins)
Casca looked carefully at the kids before he put his sunglasses down. It was always kids that die in war; 2000 years, and still kids. He smiled. He believed that Giles would be irritated if he continued to kid him. Still, he would train them then help them fight. Stopping them would only be a recipe to a catastrophe. Casca looked carefully toward the Jesus statue hanging on the wall. "Any time now, Jew. I am ready, you Bastard," he said before going out. Would nothing ever change?
You see the face on the tv screen
Coming at you every Sunday
See that face on the billboard
That man is me
Buffy walked to school. Principal Snyder was a real pain in the ass; not only was she been the Chosen One, champion of humanity, she had to have a midget dictator trying to make her life hell. Then Casca… for the first time ever, Buffy was totally sure of her feelings; they were Fear, Respect and Disgust. Fear of him being angry. Respect of his ability. And Disgust because his 'the end justifies the means' way of life. She smiled as Xander and Cassy came walking hand in hand.
On the cover of the magazine
There's no question why I'm smiling
You buy a piece of paradise
You buy a piece of me
Xander was literally in paradise, Cassandra was holding his hand, Buffy was back, Willow had forgiven him and he had a Dad he respected. Sure Jack had a lousy sense of humor, not like his… But we can't all be perfect.
I'll get you everything you wanted
I'll get you everything you need
Don't need to believe in hereafter
Just believe in me
Willow frowned. "No, no, no. Cordy you will not do this again." Oz sat down. She looked carefully at him, hoping to get help any help. "Traitor," she said with sad voice.
Cordy's smile was pure evil. "Well Geek, you didn't believe me, but that's 2 of 3 time I got you in Doom. Pay up, girl."
"Alright, I'll buy you an ice cream, extra chocolate." Oz raised his eyebrow look curiously at Cordy. "Oh, my uncle's kid is crazy about that game and baby sitting him is much easier if you just play Doom with him," Cordy said. Oz frowned, his nose with both eyebrows up. "I'm not stupid you know, I can clearly see what you are saying." Oz smiled sideways. "No, sorry, can't communicate, just see," Cordy said hiding her sadness. Teal'c gave her a look of pity.
Giles said, "My God, could any one explain how you do these things?"
Teal'c answered, "It's just letting your words be expressed on your face. It's easy to some. And, unlike talk, it's universal; useful in my former line of work." Giles took of his glasses and started to clean them.
Cos Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
I've been talking to Jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows I'm right
And he's been telling me
Everything is alright
Casca stood before the Hellmouth. "So that's how it looks." He carefully put down the crucifix and holy wards and placed them down in a defensive circle around the Hellmouth. "Don't you worry, Jew, I will not let Hell loose on earth. You in heaven have made enough hell of my life."
I believe in the family
With my ever loving wife beside me
But she don't know about my girlfriend
Or the man I met last night
Cassy smiled at Buffy. "We'll be there, I love Joyce's food."
Xander smiled. "Hmmm, Joyce's cooking," and drooled in a Homer way causing the girls to giggle.
Buffy asked, "Hi, how do you know Mom, Cassy?"
Cassy blush "Xander kind of visits your mom and has been seeing that she is okay and helped her."
Buffy paled. "Oh, I-I'm sorry. I just freaked and-"
Xander stopped her. "Buffy, both you and Joyce freaked and did the wrong things; BOTH of you. Let's just be glad it become right in the end, okay?" Buffy nodded with a sting of jealousy.
I believe in the family
With my ever loving wife beside me
But she don't know about my girlfriend
Or the man I met last night
Casca walked toward the balance demon. "What the hell do you mean I must leave."
Whistler backed up. "Calm down. Not now, but soon."
"Why?"
"You upset the balance."
"I don't care about your fucking balance, I just want to save earth."
"Then you must leave soon."
"Why tell me that?"
Whistler took off his hat. "It's simply IF the forces of good move TO fast and win, the Forces of evil will strike back and win and hold earth an equal period of time, quite possibly destroying the planet. The same if the forces of evil move to soon." Whistler put his hat on. "So, in order to win this war, the forces of good must move with baby steps, inch by inch, until the victory is done."
"And you, you bastard, don't care about those that die during the fights," Casca said angrily
"We care, but what choice do we have?"
Casca nodded. "Jack and the kid can handle it. Can I at least give them training?"
Whistler nodded. "Yeah, and don't worry, the Jew will come."
"But when will he come? I'm so tired," Casca said.
You won't even have to leave your house
Or get outta your chair
You don't even have to touch that dial
Cos I'm everywhere
The Mayor looked at the report. "This is not good." His hench-demon nodded. "The military just rode in and have started building that secret base. The Slayer and gang is involved." He looked up "Is any one of the gang interested in a bribe? We need a insider."
The demon replied, "I checked, Cordelia is very possible, but unlikely; she's already given up fame to hang with the losers. But the Xander kid, now his background indicates he would jump at the chance to get money. I even interviewed his mother."
The Mayor said, "Good, see that we can have a talk."
And Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
I've been talking to Jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows I'm right
Well he's been telling me
Everything's gonna be alright
Casca sat down and put a whisky bottle on the table between Giles, Joyce and Buffy. He carefully opened the bottle and poured himself a big drink. "The fuckers from PTB have ordered me away from here."
Joyce looked at him with fury. "Don't worry, girl." he said. "I've got time to train Buffy and Xander."
Giles asked, cleaning his glasses, "Why Xander, he is just a normal human."
Casca replied, "Because he is loyal, intelligent, and he thinks the PTB like that. Besides, if you did a merging spell, he would have access to the powers of the hyena instead of just locking it away like its now."
Won't find me practicing what I'm preaching
Won't find me making no sacrifice
But I can get you a pocketful of miracles
If you promise to be good, try to be nice
God will take good care of you
Just do as I say, don't do as I do
Xander looked at Jack. "So, what do you think?"
Jack put down his joystick and looked up from the game. "It's crazy."
Xander nodded. "Yeah, but what do you think about it?"
Jack answered carefully, "I-It could keep you alive, but will it hurt you?"
Xander looked up. "According to Giles, no; but I will have some strange urges at first, before my human and hyena instincts balance each other."
Oz, sitting beside them, said, "I understand. It's like a lesser version of a Werewolf. But, unlike me, it's all the time."
Xander smiled. "Yeah, werewolf light version. What do you think about it?" Oz' smile turned grim. "Yeah, I thought you say that," Xander said.
Willow looked between them. "What… what did you say?"
Jack said, "That's really spooky, you know?"
Xander and Oz looked at each other then at Teal'c and rolled their eyes and wrinkled their foreheads in a frown. Teal'c smiled, then laughed. "Good joke."
I'm counting my blessings,
I've found true happiness
Cos I'm getting richer, day by day
You can find me in the phone book,
Just call my toll free number
You can do it anyway you want
Just do it right away
"Hold your sword straighter, girl," Casca said as he gave Buffy a harsh push before turning to Xander. "You hold the sword in a good way, but the way you move is awful."
Xander blushed and looked down. "I'm born clumsy."
Casca said, "Hardly. When you came in to your teens, did you have a sudden growth spurt?"
Xander replied, "Yeah, Mom was angry that the clothes she'd buy one month were too small the next."
Casca explained, "That's the reason. Your mind hasn't compensated. Some kids grow extremly slowly then make sudden burst of growth. Just like you, they often are clumsy until their brain understands their new body."
Xander nodded "Let's start then."
There'll be no doubt in your mind
You'll believe everything I'm saying
If you wanna get closer to him
Get on your knees and start paying
Cassandra held up a gun looking at the large man. "And you believe this ammo will kill vampires?"
The man smiled. "That's what the Pentagon would like to find out." Samantha nodded. "Your team, and the others, will all have a chance of field testing it. Of course, first we will kidnap a vampire and try the ammo on a vampire that can't fight."
Cos Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
I've been talking to jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows I'm right
Well he's been telling me
Everything's gonna be alright, alright
Willow looked up at the smiling Cordy. "Okay, I do look good." Willow looked down. "But what if they laugh?"
Cordy assured her, "They won't laugh, Will. You look beautiful."
Jesus he knows me
Jesus he knows me, you know...
Wesley was smiling as he spoke. "Yes, sir… That's right, sir… The slayer is getting paid and the US government is involved… I believe that would be unwise, sir… Of course I will not tell anyone about the assassination team." Wesley put the phone down "Bugger. Did you get it?" he asked Daniel.
Daniel held up a tape. "Every word, including the flight you are picking them up from.
Wesley smiled. "I promised I would not betray them to the US military, but you are a civilian advisor. I don't break my word… ever."
Daniel said, "I will tell them and explain your dilemma."
Wesley smiled. "Explain it to Giles also, then he might believe I am human." Wesley looked out. A new age was coming and they were the pioneers to that brave new world.
